Do I need a referral to work with you?
No referral is needed. You’re welcome to reach out directly to book a session or schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve seen a counsellor before, I’m here to help you get started.
What can I expect from the first session?
Our first session is about getting to know each other and seeing what feels most supportive for you. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, your hopes, and any questions you have. I’ll share more about how I work and make sure you feel grounded in the process.
How do virtual sessions work?
Sessions are held securely online through the confidential video platform Jane.App You’ll need a stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with audio and camera. I’ll send the link before each session. If video isn’t possible, we can always switch to phone.
Do you provide receipts for insurance?
Yes. As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), many extended health plans and workplace benefits will cover therapy sessions. I’ll provide you with a receipt you can submit for reimbursement. Be sure to check with your provider to confirm eligibility.
Registered Social Workers are also recognized as medical practitioners under the Income Tax Act. This means that any amount not covered by your benefits provider can be claimed on your income tax returns.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
24–48 hours notice: 50% fee
Less than 24 hours or no-show: Full fee
